Specialist Support Assistant

Salary: Grade 6 - 30 Hours Per Week (Term Time Only) 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring individual to provide individualised support to pupils in our vibrant , welcoming and supportive village school. For your application to be successful you will be able to offer some or all of the following: 

  • an interest in and understanding of the needs of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder);
  • experience of working with children, preferably in a primary or early years setting;
  • willingness to learn, adopt and adapt different approaches used to facilitate learning for pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities (SEND);
  • capacity to devise creative and imaginative approaches in order to motivate children to learn;
  • an ability to be fair, apply equal opportunities at all times and understand the importance of confidentiality;
  • evidence of team working and an ability to use your own initiative;
  • commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour; and
  • a growth mind-set demonstrating an ability to seek solutions.

Due to the funding linked to this appointment, this is a temporary contract until 22nd July 2025 with a six months probationary period, subject to satisfactory service.  The working hours are term time only from 8.45am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday.  School visits are actively encouraged.  Please contact the School Secretary, Ms Gina Griffin, on 01444 892314 or office@st-peters.school to arrange a visit.  Your application form, together with your supporting letter, should be sent or emailed in.  Please note that CVs will not be accepted.

Midday Meals Supervisor 

Salary: Grade 2 - 7.5 Hours Per Week (Term Time Only) 

We are seeking an approachable and caring individual to work in our vibrant, welcoming and supportive village school. We are looking for someone who is:

  • a great role model and enjoys working with children;
  • committed to maintaining high standards of engagement and behaviour for all;
  • able to be fair, apply equal opportunities at all times and understand the importance of confidentiality;
  • adaptable in their approach and keen to motivate pupils to eat healthily and make good choices; and
  • dedicated to team working and able to use their initiative.

Premises Officer 

Salary: Grade 4 - 15 Hours per week ( with some flexibility) 

We are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to join our supportive and committed team.  For your application to be successful, you will be able to offer:

  • experience of working in a practical role with evidence of good maintenance skills;
  • a rational approach to health & safety with clear consideration of how best to support colleagues alongside a willingness to learn;
  • a strong understanding of the need to complete daily, weekly, monthly and annual checks;
  • good organisational skills and an understanding of the need to maintain clear records;
  • an ability to use own initiative, prioritise tasks and draw upon the support of contractors as and when required; and
  • good communication and interpersonal behaviour which is fully supportive of the school community.
