There are currently two vacancies at our vibrant, welcoming and supportive village school.  We are more than happy to receive applications from potential applicants looking to combine these two roles.

Premises Officer

Salary: Grade 4 - 15 Hours per week (with some flexibility) 

We are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to join our supportive and committed team.  For your application to be successful, you will be able to offer:

  • experience of working in a practical role with evidence of good maintenance skills;
  • a rational approach to health & safety with clear consideration of how best to support colleagues alongside a willingness to learn;
  • a strong understanding of the need to complete daily, weekly, monthly and annual checks;
  • good organisational skills and an understanding of the need to maintain clear records;
  • an ability to use own initiative, prioritise tasks and draw upon the support of contractors as and when required; and
  • good communication and interpersonal behaviour which is fully supportive of the school community.

Applicants will also need to be physically fit and adaptable as the work is varied and at times demanding.  This is a permanent appointment with a six-month probationary period, subject to satisfactory service.  School visits are actively encouraged, please contact the School Secretary, Ms Gina Griffin, on 01444 892314 to arrange a visit.  Your application form and accompanying letter, should be posted or emailed to office@st-peters.school.  Please note that CVs will not be accepted.

Cleaner

Salary: Grade 2 - 10 Hours per week (Term Time Only) 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and practical individual to work in our vibrant, welcoming and supportive village school. We are looking for someone who is: 

  • Able to take pride in their work ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the school;
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision;
  • Confident following school policies and guidelines thus ensuring safe practices; and
  • Conscientious and reliable thus making a positive impact upon the school environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
