Swallow Class Trip

As part of their Autumn term topic, ‘Life Changing Moments’, Swallow Class visited the Cabinet War Rooms in London on Monday 25th November.  This exciting trip gave the children a unique opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Winston Churchill and the countless men and women who worked, ate, and even slept in the secret underground headquarters of this historic government building.  The children reported how:

“We learnt lots of things about Churchill and what he did for the war.  We learnt that Churchill had a secret phone.  He hated the sound of typewriters so he bought a silent typewriter!”

“My favourite parts were seeing the outfits, the map room and the narrow corridors.”

Thank you to the parent helpers who accompanied Swallow class, we hope that you also enjoyed the day.
